And so, with some help from a random chicken, I made a face.
First things first. This is the random chicken that hung out with me for about 6 hours while I worked.

A rough sketch was made and drums were aquired form Arcata Salvage (the greatest salvage yard in the world!) and the cutting began. I am using a regular cutting torch, no fancy plasma stuff.... yet.
This is how much I got done before I ran out of Oxygen. We live in the sticks, so I have to wait until Monday to get more. Ugh. And yes, that is a fox on his chin. The white lines are soap stone. Great for drawing on things you are going to cut.
After looking at this photo, I think I will make ONE leg in the front, down the middle, and the other two come straight off the upper corners. That should get everything out of the way for the burner. Plus this thig is too flimsy to stand on it's own like this. "You can't go wrong if you build 'em strong" (unless you have to take it apart.)

I had to cut off the old legs, FAT ASS pipe coming out of the bottom is a new front leg.
A little more detail... and I have a full tank of OXYGEN.. woo!

The back, all of the holes are directional, like louvers or vents to make the fire go out in specific directions!

The stand. I don't think you can blow it over. But, we'll see.
